Ready-to-Hang Drapery Panels

As a routine, I make window treatments for clients from fabrics they have selected and bought....then, Bobby and I deliver and install the hardware and treatment....but,
if you have existing drapery rods or plan to install the drapery hardware yourself...I will be happy to make your new treatments. Some simple measurements are all that I need to give you the fabric yardage required. As for fabrics...where to look and buy....there are lots of on-line resources as well as great shops in Dothan, Montgomery, Birmingham, and Atlanta.
These panels were made from a faux silk in antique gold with a diamond pattern and embroidered small dots of gold, cinnamon, and brick red. They are lined with a napped cotton-interlining and lining in one fabric-giving the drapery fabric: 1) protection from the sun, and 2)extra fullness and body.
I made four panels that the client will use to hang on 2 decorative rods over single windows. These panels feature Euro pleats...there are other pleat styles available, but this style has been very popular and showcased in current decorating magazines.
Please call or email me with questions about details and pricing. I will be happy to give you as much assistance as you wish.

The Perfect Complement ...The Perfect Compliment

The installation is complete for this cute breakfast room! Bobby helped me finish this project this afternoon. And, the clients are so excited!! The window treatments and accessories totally complement the decor of this room. The kitchen/breakfast room is painted a warm sagey green and is accented with black tile, appliances, and furniture.

The clients chose a tailored board mounted valance style for the windows. The valances feature black and white toile paired with black and white check. Accents of a sage green fabric cording and covered buttons add detail. We mixed the fabrics again for reversible placemats with tiny cording and reversible napkins. To complete the breakfast room, I made chair cushions with double knot ties of black and white check and accented the covers with the sage green cording.

The photos of the clients' kitchen/breakfast room showcase the existing decor. I think the clients' choice of fabrics and window treatment style add to their room's classic look. And, the window treatments seem to have been there always. To me, this is the perfect "compliment".

The Fun Part

I am a seamstress...and, most of my time I spend sewing for decorators. That is my job...and, I am truly thankful each and every day to have a job. Sometimes, though, that is not exactly what I want to do-the sewing part...I love creating window treatments, don't get me wrong, but I occasionally get an idea that I think might be "good", or even "better" than my decorator's. However, I would never, ever, suggest we do something other than my "workorder". And, it is their idea, not mine, that the client selected. So, I do as I am told.
The "fun part" of what I do is having a client of my own!!! Having my own client allows me to make suggestions-toss ideas around for the style, color, hardware, and function of the window treatment. But, better than that, if you could imagine, is going to some of the homes I get to visit!!! Wow!
Today, I visited with a charming lady with a wonderful, whimsical room. You would have thought you had jumped into a Mary Englebreit magazine..."TOO CUTE"...that is the perfect title for Susanne's room.
We had lots of fun planning for her many windows...no concrete decisions, yet, on whether to use long panels or fun, playful valances. But the fabrics are a sure thing: a playful mix of narrow primary stripes on white cotton, solid red cording, and a cute contrast check in blue, I think.
The main issue is to add to the room's (and client's) vivacious personality! And, I am sure we will.
